It is a well known fact that people will probably do almost anything for money. Montgomery Township Schools are trying to decide whether or not they want to advertise products to make money. The way they are going to advertise them is by naming parts of the schools after the products.
What would your reaction be if you walked into the cafeteria and as you sat down with your friends, the first thing you saw was a huge banner that said the COCA-COLA CAFETERIA, or the DUBBLE BUBBLE GYM? What would you think if the school tried to make money by encouraging you to buy common products?
I definitely think that it is a dumb idea. We're not even allowed to have soda, gum, or any good stuff that they're likely to advertise in school. So, if they decided to call the gym the Dubble Bubble gym, then the Principal shouldn't give out detentions for chewing gum. Even if gum and soda were allowed, I don't think the school should have to resort to advertising. I think they should not advertise the products through us.

its a pretty stupid idea. i mean, like annapurna said, they shouldn't advertise products that are not allowed in school. and if you some room offa some fruit or veggie or something, that would be just pain dumb
i think that maybe advertising food is a dumb idea unless it is allowed in school (i mean, they already sell cookies and stuff) but if they sold stuff that you can keep like a comic book (cecile) or some handmade jewelry (annapurna) or maybe oragami (that's me and emily!) then it wouldn't be that bad of an idea.
sometimes it is a good idea when the school gets money because then we may be able to build a playground for recess, get more fun fridays and may not have to pay at all, or we may get a bigger locker, twice as big! so i think that it has its ups and downs.
Still... what if the first thing you saw when you went in, was a huge dumb banner that said Coca-Cola cafeteria on it? And if they advertised our stuff, everyone in the school would want to advertise their stuff too!
what if they had a list of things advertized per week and it only gets adverized for one week no matter how much money you pay and you need at least 9 or 10 people in your group then it shortens the list of advrtisements.
coca cola cafeteria is kind of dumb
advertise stuff thats sold in the school store...i think some ppl arent even aware of the schhol store and just walk past it when they go to lunch
